As a child, a visit to the hospital can be very confusing and scary. Children have the talent to turn dull moments into happy one’s, but we must help them understand and cope with the process throughout the way. If your anything like me, your favorite part about being a future nurse, is soaking up those free moments that we get and turning them into the best memories for our patients. 1.Motivational Cards
To begin, we have one of the most inspirational crafts out there… motivational cards! This craft will make your patient feel stronger and defended by those surrounded, which will ultimately give them the strength to keep pushing through such a difficult time in their life.
Try to make the card about something they like, let it be a cartoon or color! Make sure to only use positive words, and if posible, try connecting with them throughout the process, this way they will know you are there for them. 💓
2. Educational Teddy Bear Print Out
Secondly, we have an educational teddy bear print out. This craft, will help your patient understand what is happening to them, in a delicate and innovative way. If they see that teddy bear can get through it, they will think they can do it as well!
